AES is having a visit to Hoitonetti
Hoitonetti is the first communal healthcare website in Finland. The site is combining the tremendous potential of online social networks to professional health care information. The site was launched in October 2008 and by now it has over 20 000 weekly visitors. By the same token, Hoitonetti has also aroused a lot of interest in the Finnish media. For example, Helsingin Sanomat, Suomen kuvalehti Kauppalehti and Radio Nova have introduced the concept to the general public.
Hoitonetti-team can be described as young but also experienced and most of all enthusiastic pioneers of social networking services. For example ii2 (social network community for younger people) and Petsie (social network for pet owners) have been developed by the same team. Developing these services have kept the team very busy and studies at HSE are currently on HOLD. Our target is to make Hoitonetti rapidly growing and international web service.
